Restoring the Balance

This offering is in honor of the dogs who have come to the farm in search of better health.  Physical, mental and emotional. The farm has become a bridge between current medical models and what we know is possible and available now for higher levels of health.  We’ve also met with behaviorists, trainers, veterinarians, rescue groups, and more, so we can develop and provide you with basic, yet very effective options to restore balance, often times at home.

We will share ways that we as humans can inspire ethical and responsible practices that have the potential to shift understanding and become the advocates our animals are asking us to become.

We Need Volunteers!

With our stream restoration project nearing completion, we’re thrilled to take the next big step—planting the riparian buffer—and we need your help to bring it to life!

A healthy riparian buffer is essential for stabilizing the stream banks, improving water quality, and creating a thriving habitat for wildlife. This next phase of the project is not just about planting trees and native vegetation—it’s about restoring balance to the land and ensuring a sustainable future for the ecosystem.

We’ll be sharing more details soon, but in the meantime, mark your calendars! These are the days we’ll need volunteers to help us get plants in the ground and set this beautiful landscape in motion.

We’re so excited to plant, connect with nature, and watch this habitat flourish together. Stay tuned for more updates, and if you’re interested in joining us, we’d love to have you!

We invite you to join us for our second offering of Family Constellations at White Feather Farm. This day of exploration and discovery will delve into your personal systems through the lens of Family Constellations, an enriching philosophy and modality.

Family Constellations provides an inclusive and non-judgmental view into the family systems to which we each belong, offering a pathway to bring order to what may be entangled or out of alignment. How do we know when an aspect of the family system is out of order? By observing the symptoms that arise in our own lives. For instance, feeling stuck or unable to move towards what we want, continuing to live in a way that doesn’t feel quite right, or feeling like we are living a life that doesn’t fully feel like ours. Symptoms can also include the burdensome feeling of being ‘the responsible one’.

These symptoms are indications that the family system may be out of order. The good news is that Family Constellations provides a pathway to address and attend to these disruptions, helping us bring balance and harmony to our lives.

Relationships are changing, we as individuals are evolving, and within that transformation, we begin rebalancing each other in deeper, more meaningful ways. Mother Earth, too, is shifting to a more refined frequency, making this the perfect time to offer one of the most effective energy practices known—Reiki.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is a gentle, non-invasive practice that uses human touch to provide comfort and support. This system is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy flows through us, sustaining our vitality. When this energy is low or blocked, we are more susceptible to illness, but when it is strong and free-flowing, we thrive. Reiki is remarkably simple to learn, safe, and natural.

By the end of this weekend, you will have the ability to share Reiki with yourself, your family, friends, and even your pets. Come experience the gift of healing touch in the sacred space of White Feather Farm. This unique class will immerse you in spiritual connection—with Gaia, the trees, all creatures great and small, the sky, and the water.

Reiki’s integration into conventional medicine is increasingly recognized, reflecting a shift toward a more holistic approach to health. Today, over 1,000 Reiki programs are active in U.S. hospitals. The practice is also gaining recognition in veterinary medicine, offering a gentle yet effective complement to conventional treatments for animals at all stages of life.

Class size is limited to 8 students, and we will offer Level 2 in the fall of this year.

The decision to euthanize a pet is never easy.  Overwhelming emotions often prevent us from seeing what may be needed or being asked for.  We want to prevent suffering, but it’s a huge decision to end a life.  Our work at the Animal Soul has shown us how important planning for the inevitable is, even if death is sudden, there are ways to prepare and care for yourself and your family as death comes.  Being conscious and clear about what you want and most importantly taking the time to be with your animal, even after death, is vitally important.

The more we understand the ritual behind the processes of euthanasia and cremation, the more we can move with the intensity of death, our deep love, and why it hurts so much.  Most times we are never given that validation.  Please join us as we host Jordan Darnall of the Animal Soul formerly known as Delaware Pet Cremation. Jordan works with families and their animals everyday , experiencing first hand what happens when one of the deepest bonds we humans share begins to move beyond our reach.

Sprouts | Mugworts Academy Summer Camp

Introducing Mugworts Academy’s Young Explorers Camp, a four-day summer experience designed for children ages 5-8 to explore, create, and deepen their connection to the natural world. Rooted in the philosophy of right relationship - with themselves, others, and the land - this immersive camp invites young minds to learn through play, curiosity, and hands-on discovery.

Set on the tranquil grounds of White Feather Farm, campers will spend their days playing in nature, creating art from found objects, listening to myths and folktales, and engaging in interactive outdoor adventures that encourage respect for all living beings. With a focus on fun and connection, each activity is designed to inspire a sense of wonder while building confidence, emotional awareness, and teamwork.

Each morning begins with grounding exercises, where children will practice breathing techniques, mindfulness, and gentle movement to help them feel present and balanced. From there, they’ll take part in team-based games, sensory exploration, interactive lessons on plants and animals, and creative projects that allow them to explore their own relationship with nature. Afternoons will be filled with art,  group projects, and opportunities for self-expression, ensuring a well-balanced rhythm of movement and reflection.

This first-year camp is intentionally small and intimate, fostering a nurturing environment where children can freely explore, connect, and grow with confidence. Whether they’re crafting from nature, solving riddles on a treasure hunt, or planting something with their own hands, each experience is meant to cultivate joy, curiosity, and a deeper respect for the world around them.

Mugworts Academy’s WildcraftCamp is a three-day immersive experience designed for tweens and young teens who are ready to engage more deeply with nature, creativity, and themselves. Building on the philosophy of right relationship, this camp encourages participants to explore their place in the natural world through hands-on learning, independent thinking, and creative expression while fostering self-reliance, adaptability, and connection.

Set against the peaceful backdrop of White Feather Farm, Young Explorers will take part in nature-based challenges, storytelling, movement, and art, all designed to deepen self-awareness, spark curiosity, and cultivate a sense of environmental stewardship. Activities will balance independence and collaboration, encouraging campers to engage with their surroundings, build confidence in their abilities, and develop meaningful relationships with both nature and their peers.

Each morning begins with grounding exercises, breathwork, and intention-setting, helping campers cultivate presence, focus, and emotional resilience. The day unfolds with interactive lessons on natural elements, physical activities, creative projects, and group discussions that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and personal exploration. Afternoons provide time for more in-depth skill-building, hands-on projects, and moments of reflection, allowing participants to express themselves freely, connect with others, and integrate their experiences.

This first-year program is intentionally small and immersive, creating a supportive space where campers can challenge themselves, embrace new perspectives, and develop a lasting respect for nature and their place within it. Whether they’re learning from the elements, working with natural materials, or sharing stories under the trees, every moment is designed to empower, inspire, and guide them toward the next stage of life with confidence and curiosity.

The ritual of grieving elementally, allows us to face death with total presence. It shows us the amount of raw strength the power of death brings, allowing us to grow our soul spirit energy.  We are born knowing how to grieve, it is a normal and natural process and a part of maturing, developing our human capacity for kindness, courage and love.  We invite you to join us along with the Fire, Water, Earth and Air.

Bring any offering of yellow, gold, orange or red flowers to Ring the Fire, to create a Circle of Gold that bring to mind any aspect of Father/Grandfather/Great Grandfather - however you hold that, and here at White Feather we hold that across all the Species.

Basics of Beekeeping

Basic Intro to Beekeeping - hosted by Rob Mayer of White Feather Farm

We will discuss and share an overview of what is involved in beekeeping, the different types of hives, and most importantly the roles that each bee plays to create a magical living organism. Other topics will be swarms and pollinators. We’ll walk to our bee yard for a brief visit and then group outside, away from the bees as they work. Suits and veils will not be provided, but feel free to bring/wear what will make your stay enjoyable. We will not be opening or working directly with the hives, they are super busy bees this time of year and we always respect their space.

  • $20/per person includes a jar of our own honey! ($15 value) and a 20 page color handout

A New Way of Seeing Your Dog’s LIfe

One of the most powerful things we can do to improve our dog’s health, and our own for that matter, is to change our concept of what’s possible.  

Real health comes from within.

First, we need to adopt a new model or vision.  Second, we need to understand that dogs are complex, vital and every changing sentient beings, just like us.  They need a diverse approach to their life and health that integrates all of life’s dimensions. Third, we need to initiate higher levels of health practices suited not only for the dog as a species, but for each individual being, and treat them as an individual.  We also need to go beyond diet, drug medications, and resorting immediately to invasive therapies.   We need to build skills for excellent health in a stressful and demanding world.

Let your dog be your guide, as you engage your own intelligences and intuition, making choices that support and sustain a good life.

Join us for this Introductory Forum as we begin a series of workshops covering a wide range of topics, in-depth discussions, and participate in creating more advanced and holistic options for  canine healthcare, and understanding the human-canine relationship.

The series, will focus on specific topics, allowing more detail, time for discussion, and sharing.

I will pay close attention to what comes up during the Introduction, keeping in mind this is an enormous road we will be traveling, and see what patterns emerge as we continue to explore.

To open, my dogs, Anouk and Noodle, will assist us as we begin. Throughout the year we will invite specific dogs either in person or through their stories to aid us in understanding who they are, what they request, and how they may call on us to explore within ourselves.

I will also introduce you to something I’ve been working on that is near and dear to me.

Sacred Dying - Sacred Death - A Holistic Approach to your Animal’s Death.

**As much as I would love to meet all of your dogs, we are better able to focus without them. 

They have a way of stealing the show, our hearts, and distracting us into all sorts of fun play!
